Free tools / Fee calculator
Accounting fee calculator
Price a client from your own hourly rate and the time each service takes you, then see it as a monthly and annual fee, with or without VAT.
Free to use, no sign-up. Uses your own rate and times, not market prices.
Services for this client
Tick the services you provide and set the time each one takes you. The times shown are examples.
| Service | Hours each time | How often | A year | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Turn this into a proposal
Engager’s pricing tool works out fees from your own rules, then sends the proposal and letter of engagement for the client to sign online.
How it works
How the fee is worked out
| Step | What the calculator does |
|---|---|
| 1. Time | Hours each time × how often a year, for each service you tick. |
| 2. Fee | Total hours × your hourly rate, then any adjustment for complexity. |
| 3. Monthly fee | The annual fee divided by 12, rounded the way you choose. |
| 4. VAT | Optionally shown including VAT at 20%. |
The example times are a starting point only. Use the time your practice really spends, for example from your time records. For a step-by-step method, read how to calculate accounting fees.
Questions
Fee calculator FAQs
Does the calculator use market prices?
No. It uses your own hourly rate and the time each service takes you. The times shown are examples to change.
Should I charge by the hour or a fixed fee?
Many practices use time to work out a fair price, then agree a fixed monthly fee with the client. The calculator shows both the annual and monthly figure so you can do that.
Can I add my own services?
Yes. Select Add a service, name it and set the hours and how often it happens.
Is my information saved?
No. The calculator works in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to Engager.
